Labo Portal is a web application that manages the entire operation of laboratory management in universities, such as managing attendance and assigning presentations.
As the number of members in our research lab increased, we found ourselves exceeding the regular classroom's capacity, necessitating the weekly reservation of available rooms. At the same time, there was a need to announce the classroom locations and assign presenters on a rotational basis, resulting in a surge of administrative tasks.
To streamline these operations, we decided to develop a web system to handle them automatically. Given the sensitive nature of attendance information related to grade assessments, we chose to entrust this data to the system as well. However, there were concerns about the reliability of web-based attendance, given the potential for fraudulent entries. As a result, we also implemented measures to mitigate such risks to some extent.
